VBA missing

Not sure where to put this...

I've been trying to resolve some 'glitches' with a legacy version of CorelDraw (X4). Someone on the CorelDraw forum suggested a macro. Which entails using "Script Manager" (in Corel), which in turns wants Visual Basic for Applications.

After my recent upgrade to Windows 10, however, it appears that I don't have VBA installed. A search for it came up with nada in Windows applications, etc..

But the search results did suggest (strongly imply) that it could be installed. Is that correct?

Is it a good idea?

And why wasn't it included with Win 10?

And then [sigh] will all be right with the world?

In a nutshell Visual Basic is an old programing language Microsoft no longer uses or supports. If an app requires it, it would be included there. Unfortunately for you, you can't seem to install your app so...

I would think those apps requiring those components would include them. That said (and this is a complete guess), you might try this to get the "missing" components by trying this - Modify Visual Studio by adding or removing workloads and components

Don't have Visual Studio either.

Disregard the post you quoted, and read the "replacement" post. Sorry. With that, In a nutshell Visual Basics was a third generation programing language that's no longer used or supported by Microsoft. You could try this though....

VBA is part of MS Office and continues to be supported within currently-supported MS Office versions.

Is it still part of 2019 and Office 365? Can't seem to find anything on that.
