    i want to fix windowsapps.

    OS:Windows 10
Version:about all of them starting with 1507

hey i've been trying to fix the windowsapps folder without reinstalling windows again, i've tried xcopy with every permission, attributes, and about everything from a clean untouched folder copied straight from install.wim with the same version that i have, but for some reason, windows wont recognize the apps as i put windowsapps in, do i have to deploy everything? and everytime i try to register every app, it thinks appmanifest is located in c which is confusing and idk why
    when i use this command "Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}"
but it kinda irritates me that it looks for c and im trying to find a way, with reinstalling causes me to be annoyed, cause then i have to get things from registry, try to what, and how many programs i have installed and try to get files from the user, redownload the bookmarks and everything from chrome and about everything that is cached and stored. it annoys me.
also why does microsoft have this thing when you clean install windows 10 and then like msot of the apps have an arrow on them and later on doesnt get its icons back even when i reset the start menu layout, is it because i have to update microsoft store and the other apps? this is nonsense.

Hi ward201185. Welcome to the TenForums @ward210085

Have you tried a repair install. It does not, at least it is not supposed to, impact any of your installed apps or data. I always recommend taking a backup because it is better to have than not have.

Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade

The trick with the repair install is to use the same version of the OS as you have installed. Older versions won't work and newer versions cause an update.

I hear you on the clean install but if you are using a base that started with the original Windows 10 it might be time.
