    Microsoft Store query

    Hello :)

(This is my first time here, and still very much a novice with W10 even after all this time !)

When checking for updates in the Store, there seem to be quite a few that are downloaded that hardly seem to be of any relevance to me.

For example: Groove Music, Films & TV, One Note, Dolby Access, etc.

Is there any way of filtering out any that I don't want, or do I just have to let MS download them anyway? Is there a menu I can use to do this?

These updates use some of the data allowance for home broadband, and even more of an issue if using a mobile data package.

Thanks if anyone can advise please.

HI and welcome to the forums.

If you uninstall the apps you don't want, the Store *should* honour that you've uninstalled them. It doesn't always though, particularly after the bi-annual updates.

Yep....MS, especially with windows 10 has a nasty habit of reinstalling deleted items on those bi-annual updates. It's a PITA to have to keep re-deleting them....for me anyway it is. I fully understand why it's that way.

That said I use Revo Unistaller to remove wanted software and windows apps. Then use it's clean up service to remove all the hidden tid bits that are left over.

Thank you both for your replies :)

(Apologies for the late reply, but I've been busy)

I will try uninstalling a couple that seem irrelevant, and will wait and see what happens.

    Best regards.
