I just tried it. The 32 bit download stub starts okay for me and downloads the 64 bit program which then launches okay as well.

I'm not sure the file is a 32-bit loader, but yes, it is a small file downloading the 64-bit exe. And yes, I tried it before posting those images. With that I'm baffled as to why it's problematic for you.
It's obviously something strange on my PC but I'm at a bit of a loss as to how to find it/fix it.
I need some kind of diagnostic tool or logger to try and find out what it's trying to do when the grey boxes appear.
Any other ideas welcome.

Strange installer problem. Anyone seen this? (See screenshot)

Hi Folks,
Some more information.
I've just tried again.
This time I started Task Mgr to watch what happens then I launched the setup by right-clicking and running as administrator.
As you can see I got the same greyed out boxes and from task Mgr it seems to be running two instances of Aftershot Pro .
There was some cpu and memory usage at first but after a while it stops and nothing more happens.

I hate to say it but "maybe" there is compatibility issue somewhere. It's strange because your system specs meet the requirements, but...
Out of curiosity, are you running a customized screen resolution or is it the native resolution of the monitor?
Run the installer file as an administrator from an admin account using compatibility settings for the older OS the program was designed for.
I'm running my monitor at native resolution which is 1450x1080.
I've tried running as admin and running in compat mode for Windows 8.1 but makes no difference and the Corel blurb says it's for windows 10.
You may have to contact Corel for this. They may have a tool that can diagnose the issue and tell you what's what.
Good luck.
Thanks to everyone for their interest.
I'll contact Corel again and if/when I get a solution, I'll post it here.
Thanks for the suggestions.
I already tried those.
I also tried running in Safe Mode and Corel sent me a command line to make sure the Install Services were loaded but even at a vga resolution of 640x480 it didn't work.
My latest thing was to reinstall Windows 10 as I had previously upgraded from windows 7 but it didn't make any difference.
Regards.
