How to find the installation directory or executable launch directory?

How do I find the installation directory or executable launch directory of "Pictures Opener - Heic Supported Including Convert"?

I installed it from the Windows app store.

I know how to launch it from Windows 10. And if I've already downloaded the file, I know how to open the .heic file using this app.

But when I open a picture from a web browser (instead of downloading it), such as Firefox, it asks me which program to open the HEIC file from. I then have to browse for the installation directory of this app, and look for the executable.

But I can't find the installation directory, nor the executable.

You do know that you will have to buy the "Pictures Opener - Heic Supported Including Convert" if you want to print or convert an .heic image?

You could spend a fraction of that on the codec from Microsoft to allow you to open heic images in the standard Photos app instead. Try to open an heic file in Photos and it will say you need a codec....

Click the link and it takes you to the Store to buy the 'HEVC Video Extensions' from Microsoft.

But if you want it for free, see:
Instead of buying the HEVC Video Extensions item from the Windows Store, grab this instead: “HEVC Video Extensions from Device Manufacturer.”

Then you can just use the Photos app instead. Works for me....

    Thank you!

I had tried HEVC Extensions earlier, but I didn't want to pay for the add-on, so I started looking for free alternatives.

Your link, with the free "HEVC Video Extensions from Device Manufacturer.", worked.

I was then able to view the HEVC files directly in Photos. And I was able to open a file from a web browser and have it open in Photos directly too, without having to explicitly download it.

So this makes it easier, all-around.

I uninstalled the app from earlier today, "Pictures Opener - Heic Supported Including Convert".
