Any reliable way to get the parent folder in File Explorer?

I noticed that if you click the Documents folder on the navigation pane and then want to go to the parent folder, the usual parent folder shortcuts don't work (such as Alt+↑ or backspace), they instead get you to "This PC".
Is there any shortcut to get the real parent folder?

    Any help much appreciated

Hi, if you have Qttabbar installed (free) then if you rt click a library folder, click 'Open in Other View, the folder - using its 'real' path is displayed in another pane at the bottom:

More: if you have Open Shell (free- best know as a Start Menu) installed, and enable Classic Explorer, and enable Alt Enter, if you select a library in the Nav. Pane and hit Alt Enter, a properties sheet will be displayed with the true path.

There’re many apps for that. I don’t want to use any apps

You should specify your requirements more clearly to save respondents wasting their time. Thank you.
