LibreOffice not loading after some sort of update

Windows did something to my machine late this afternoon.

    Now LiberOffice will not load,

Shows okay in the start manager.

I do not know how to get the specifications for the latest Windows update, so I cannot provide it.

Guidance please. I use LibreOffice extensively.

    Thanks.

Hi, have you looked to see if there's a repair option - like this?

    - and if not, reinstalling it?

    Windows build/update number:
frequently posted- I have to type this several times a day...
    a. Win key + r, winver
    or
    b. Settings, About

Google is very good with questions like that:

Given your Windows Build number, you can
    a. search for that
    b. match it with the relevant article in the News section and read the details of the latest update you have

To see the list of updates on your PC:

    - Update History in Settings
    or
    - Control Panel, Programs and Features

Like Dalchina I'm having no issues with the latest LibreOffice.

Since I also use winver frequently I have a little .bat/Batch file on my Taskbar for one click access. My Shortcut, created it on the Desktop then right-clicked and Pin to Taskbar:

I have always thought that Windows took care of all the updates.

Late last night somehow I happened on "Check for Updates".
I did that: I found three that had not been installed. I let her rip.

Then I downloaded then latest version of LO, then let her rip.
    Got it installed okay.

    Then I went to bed.

Today, now all seems back to normal.

I wil need to sort out getting the version number soon.

    Thanks for your help.

Most programs will have Help, About on their toolbar. With Windows hold down the Windows key and press R, type winver and press Enter, gives the OS Version and Build number.

Like @Berton, I too have a shortcut to Winver. In my case it's my normal, always-running AutoHotkey script which includes the following one-liner:

    Code:
    #w::Run, C:\Windows\System32\winver.exe

This lets me use the Windows key + w key together to pop up the Winver dialog.

Another of the benefits of very, very simple automation to reduce multiple actions to just a keyboard combo.

    Hope this helps...

Note- by default, win key +w -> two options- whiteboard / full screen capture.

I know... I don't need that functionality so re-purposed the keyboard shortcut for something that's more useful to me. However, I should have made this clear so thank you.
