    Your Phone app not working

Just did a clean install of 1903 18362.356 from ISO followed by an immediate update to .388. Going well except for Your Phone App. Trying to set it up and I'm in a death loop

When I start it, I get this:

    Your Phone app not working-yourphone-1.png

I click on Update and I get this:

    Your Phone app not working-yourphone-2.png

I click Launch and it takes mne back to the first window.
No way to uninstall it then download and reinstall it that I can find. BTW: This was all working great prior to the clean install.

You phone app not working after Clean Install

Not getting any response in the Software and Apps forum so adding a pointer to it here: Your Phone app not working

Did a clean install of 1903 18362.356 using latest ISO. Above describes the problem. Any ideas appreciated,

I got it working but no idea how or what I did to make it happen. I uninstalled it on my phone several different times, un-linked it from my MS Account, added it back several times, reinstalled it on the phone and for some reason the PC and phone started communicating. Got all the Allow prompts on the phone and now it's all working again.

I like the app but it's fragile as hell.

After reading this I tried setting it up for my iphone6...mine is stuck at 40% and says something went wrong error message...to cancel or retry. Nothing....WTF MS!

    Like I said, too fragile.

It was a setting I had turned off....once that was changed, it worked. Thanks.

Great. When it works it's great. Now if they ever get it where you can make a call from your PC via your phone it will be complete.

Had a try with it today. Like you said Ztruker, it's bit fragile. Every so often it can't find the phone. Rebooting phone seems to help sometimes. I'm sure it'll get better with time.

Still persevering with this. I've got Android 9 on a Doogee Y8 phone and have latest Windows ....388 version.
The windows app seems to be stable but the Your Phone Companion app seems to be a bit hit or miss. Once I get the connection between the two it seems to work fine, both for texts & photo transfers. Until the phone goes into Sleep mode...then the only way back seems to be a phone reboot.
At the moment I'm pointing the finger at the Companion app, or Android 9 battery saver. I'm not all that familiar with Android in general, but a little reading shows the v9 has introduced a more complicated power management.
Anyone else had a go with this & got it consistantly working, or is it just Ztruker & myself as pioneers?

The "Your Phone" app is working perfectly for me.

@Ztruker, if you're trying to re-link the phone after doing a clean install, view your Microsoft Account online; under Devices click on Manage; if your phone is listed click Show details; click the More actions link (next to the device icon) and click Unlink this phone. Now start the Your Phone process again and see what happens.

Had to do this to get my phone linked again. And yes, the link process can be dodgy at times.

    Let us know.

@sygnus21, yup, did that several times along with uninstalling the app on the phone and PC. No idea why it finally started working but I'm happy it did as I do like it.
