Can't bring up my Espon Scanner window (Windows 10)

Ok, I was doing just fine with my Epson Scanner (Epson Stylus NX430) when I decided to close the preview window. I was scanning letters (in text format). That's when I ran into a problem. I can't re-open up the preview window after I closed it. I can scan, but I'd like to see what I'm doing when I scan. So I closed the scanning program. Rebooted my PC, and... nothing. I'm wondering if the application was corrupted somehow?


I have my CD but I can't find it. Is there a way to upload it from the Epson site?

I have Win 10 Home Edition.

may suggest an easy fix (ok, different scanner, but you may have a similar option).

Resetting the application did the trick:

1) Download the Windows 10 driver from Epson support - under Drivers - you will need at least the 2nd and 4th driver. Read the notes for each one.
Alternatively the Combo driver which contains extra utilities you may not want.

Go to the manuals section and download the various User Guide PDFs.
Stash these away in a Drivers folder.

2) Uninstall the current driver, all the Epson elements, Scanner driver/utility, Printer driver etc.

3) Reset the Printer/Scanner either by the reset button, or switch it off at the main supply for say 10 min, and then back on.

4) Install the new drivers.

Epson Scan only works properly for my very old Epson scanner when I run Epson Scan as an Administrator
