    MS Store-Downloads & Updates-not working!

    Title of the thread basically.
After launching MS Store, when I click on the 3 dots on the top right, select 'Downloads & Updates' and then click on Downloads under My Library, nothing shows up for me...all I see is the blue circling dots for over 30 mins.
Clicked the blue 'Get Updates' as well, same issue!
    Please help me fix this.

Hi, from the Tutorials here- which you're free to browse and search you could try:
Run Windows Store Apps Troubleshooter in Windows 10
Re-register Microsoft Store app in Windows 10

    Are you using a VPN?
Have you tried changing your DNS?

    See this for similar symptom:
Windows Update and Windows Store not able to update/download

    Many thanks mate
The 2nd link 'Re-Register...' worked for me...MS Store is all good now.
QQ- Is it okay to have MS Store ON under Settings -> Background Apps? just thinking in terms of its impact on the laptop battery life.

glad it was an easy one.

Lots of things can go on in the background. Store: worst case would be downloading and updating apps, I guess. It's likely Windows Update would be more significant, although that's less frequent- Store apps are checked daily.

I wouldn't be worried about it unless when travelling, say, you're on a limited connection.

Note that with build 1903 MS has removed the option to dim the display on battery unless the threshold set is reached.
