Hi, could you clarify that please?
Do you mean
- just of the whole screen?
- exactly the same area as last time?
- something else..
If 1 click creates the screenshot, there's no chance to set the region captured, which is usually the way things work.
You don't say if you've a laptop or a desktop. Normally laptops have a dedicated key to capture the whole screen- specially useful where moving your mouse or clicking causes something like a tooltip or context menu to disappear.
Hi there
@eppixx
I think you want some type of "session recording" which you can then plug into say a powerpoint / other presentation etc.
Hi there @Edwin -- This looks like a tool you might use --surprised you haven't mentioned it or does it have problems on your "seriously modded" machines !!!!!.
However there is actually a Free one in Windows 10 bonkersly called game bar so 99% of people don't even know its there -- you'll have to activate it in Windows features.
Windows 10 has a built-in free screen recorder that you might not know about
It records in MP4 format (well a screen IS video) but that works -->PPS (powerpoint format) and you've got your session capture.
You can then use any bog standard video editor to edit the session - make cuts, just show specific frames etc etc.

Thanks everyone very much. These are great tools. Let me try them
Hi there @Edwin
I think the OP wanted to continuously capture an entire session not just screenshots -- for example it would show me typing this message out if I captured the session , saved the session as a video file and then played it back. The Game bar will also capture audio
There are other tools but many of them just capture a screen at a time which you have to request via a keystroke -- not capturing continuously like a video --I don't think your application is making a continuous recording session even if I'm doing nothing !!!. It should show my entire screen from the start of the session until I terminate it even if it's just a screen with no activity happening on it. !!!!!! - The recording collects every keystroke too as you can see text moving on the screen -- almost like a Youtube thing without needing a video camera / webcam etc.
For example If I'm teaching someone how to use photoshop I don't need youtube or anything if I can just capture my entire session. Also problem with youtube or those types of things is that it just gets put up on the Internet --fine for some purposes but for other cases when giving internal or private demos you don't need that type of approach but a user playing back a file individually is far more appropriate.
Cheers
