Better stay with stable ..........instead of "nightly"
I have always problems with updates of this software , as usuall have to totally uninstall first , then updating .
Fortunately made a backup first , before trying to update from 160 to 163 .............tried first to install over the previous , went fine , untill my uninstallers noticed two Open-Shell programs are installed , so tried to uninstall the oldest ( 160) , after it could not reboot , black screen ........
So , had to use my backup and all fine again , on the 160.........
Wonder , why(???) its so hard to update Open-Shell............
btw; we may expect a new stable (!) version , if latest stable 160, does not function properly in 21H1 ...........

I know this is an old thread but as an FYI Classic Shell 4.3.1 works great in Windows 11 and Windows 10.
Used 4.4.168 OpenShell , it just keeps working fine , in Win11 also.............
Hi there,
I would like to create a shortcut button in the Classic Explorer toolbar for: 'open with …'
So after I e.g. selected an image file in the panel, I can have an 'open with Photoshop' button there.
A web search for this gave me no results, so I suspect it can't be done?
You'll need to define custom commands to run a program or script.
Classic Shell / Discussion / Help: HOWTO: Customize the toolbarThe command can also be an executable string. You can use environment variables, or the paramters %1 and %2. %1 is the current path, %2 is the name of the selected file. For example:
%windir%\notepad.exe %2 - this will open the selected file in notepad. %windir% will be replaced with the windir environment variable. %2 is the selected file
