Ginger Grammar Checker

I have been poking about looking for a final editing tool for complex, multiple pages (5 or so) documents.

Ginger seemed like it was worth a shot because it appears comprehensive, can be downloaded, and will run independent of the Internet.

The install threw an error in that it is not a Microsoft app.

Is there any way around such an error without putting my computer at risk? Is Microsoft trying to sell me something like it?

Any suggestions for one like Ginger that is Window 10 friendly?

I found Grammarly's request for broad access to my compute for who know what very off-putting.

On a quick trial the on-line version of this one seems to work okay

I found the download version but U could not get it to run. Anyone have any suggestions how I sort out getting it to run?

To test the application it was just downloaded and install.
To use it it is requesting an Email or facebook, or google account.

Had you gotten to the above steps?

I'm planning to uninstall it.

I had not gotten to those steps for Ginger.
I just found the install routine in the start menu. Clicked on it and that got it going.
