Windows services preset solution [Looking for]

Sometimes, I just wish I could switch the state and settings of windows services faster than going through the windows service manager MMC each time...

Being be able to setup multiple self-predefined services' state & settings, in the form of profiles/preset, ready to get toggled from one another right from the system tray... That would be such a major productivity enhancement !! But I have yet to find such a tool ...

Sure I could use shell scripts to proceed, but this would lack much if not all of the conveniance of what a GUI-based solution could potentially provide. (just think of how easier managing those preset would be with a gui for instance).. not to mention the tra

If any of you knows of such tools, please post them-in =) !

Why do you think that would be an advantage?

well's it's all about conveniance .. which is the reason being of any "presets/profiles" features.
I believe having such preset would definitely "fit" the convience enhancement bill on windows services management
Take some usecases for instance.. Gaming, Surfing Web, Graphic editing, Remote managing, etc.. etc.. Each of those could definitely and heavily benefits from having each their own set of services configuration.

Basic question would be- which services do you believe represent an overhead- i.e. are using critical resources. Why do you believe that's so?

Services are complicated with many interdependences, and side effects you may not be able to predict if you arbitrarily disable some.

Some refer to Black Viper's info:
    Black Viper's Windows 10 Service Configurations | Black Viper | www.blackviper.com
Black Viper's Services Configuration - MajorGeeks
BlackViperScript: make bulk changes to the Windows 10 Service configuration - gHacks Tech News
    Releases . madbomb122/BlackViperScript . GitHub

But I think that's only 1 suggested configuration.

If you make any such changes- and I'm not recommending you do- make sure you have a way back.

Thanks for the safety caution recc. I agree services is not a component one can easily play with, but having a way to manage them with the lever of presets / profiles implies being able to create a "stock/default" one for easy fall back in case anything goes wrong.. (I already make backup of my services states from time to time).
