qBittorrent downloading only at half speed!?

    Hy,

I dealing with this problem for few months now, and it drives me crazy
Tried everything, different settings for qbittorrent I find on other forums so far... no luck.
Downloading with browser works great, downloading at maximum speed 4-5 MB/s. But with qbittorrent I get max speed around 1,6 - 2,2 MB/s. Even with 1000+ seeds.

    Here is my latest test:

Downloading Ubuntu torrent from official web site with 800+ seeds.. max 2,2 MB/s.
Downloading Ubuntu with browser at max speed 4-5 MB/s with no problem.

Is there any solution what could be wrong?

And yes, my torrent client in updated. Running Windows 10 1903, clean install two weeks ago.

    Thanks

    Hi there

    @calvooo

Forget any torrenting on Windows -- once you've install your Linux system --even as a VM install deluge (infinitely better torrent client) and use that.
To install on ubuntu etc -- apt install deluge or whatever it's in all the repositories of most distros.

Start deluge on your VM check in bandwith options you are using unlimited, make sure DHT is enabled and of course in your router full duplex working.

Make sure you set your upload speed to at least 100 KB/s otherwise your download will be throttled. Additionally, keeping the upload speed at the default unlimited upload speed would choke your download so you need to find the right balance to not be considered as a leecher and at the same time not choke your upload speed as that will affect your download speed.

Why not just use the standard download link?

Sounds like your ISP is throttling torrents. See this. Is it possible to conclusively test if my ISP is throttling p2p? : torrents

    Hi there
If ISP is throttling torrents -- not sure why they would in cases of perfectly legal torrent delivery systems such as well know Linux distros -- e.g UBUNTU etc -- then try using TOR browser.

Legal torrent delivery systems are fine for distributing things like Linux distros --takes the load of servers and their mirrors and helps to maintain the Free nature of the software. Nothing piratical per-se in using torrents so ISP's if they are throttling these ought to be a bit more selective in what they monitor -- seems bonkers to me where you can't torrent download a legal release of Fedora/Ubuntu etc but you can have 4 users at your home all watching from Netflix different 4K UHD movies via online streaming "!" -- ISP's Go figure again you're "acceptable use" polices !!!!

Something strange going on here, or I do it wrong.

I visit CanYouSeeMe.org. Every port test I do, Error.. Is this because of dynamic IP? Also, in cmd I run netstat and have all kind of different port numbers.

Should I run Static IP or what? I am little confused right now.
