    I haven't noticed anything weird running it on W7.
    So far it seems ok on this build(15031) of 10. I just tried it on an older image that I worked on with a previous build of Gimp and it didn't crash or have an issue with it., YMMV

    I know it runs in Native Windows but it's fun running it on the Linux subsytem (WSL) with ubuntu !! some GUI programs (windowed) can be made to run on the WSL substystem.

    I know when it runs on Windows one might say "What's the point" -- just having fun though with WSL.
