Hi folks

agreed to everybody

just saying THE GIMP is a decent set of imaging software - might not be suitable for some but if it fulfils your needs it works fine, is cheap (zero cost / FREE) and running the latest version on the Linux sub system is faster than installing the Windows version !!!!!

Pro photography is a hugely demanding task these days given those horrendous selfie sticks and mobile phone "cameras" -- there's more to picture taking than "point and shoot" with a mobile phone".

I love decent photography -if I hadn't been an engineer I think I would have enjoyed being a PRO - even if nowadays an incredibly difficult profession -- still though loads of people appreciate excellent photography.

people visiting London should sometimes just go into National Portrait Gallery or National Gallery in Trafalgar square and see if there's any photographic exhibitions on --usually they have some on ---avoid though boring street artists doing the "invisible legs / body parts or standing like statues for hours on end" or street food with some of the vilest and stinkiest food you could ever think of on the planet !!--

Interesting. I didn't know you could use the color dialog so no colors get added to history.

But now nevertheless the same thing as with the polygon; hitting enter; applies the gradient, so don't know how you would use the color dialog in this case.

First time I see it but LOL this template...

New image, in toilet paper format?!

EDIT: Can it be the printer's last resort backup, in case we're out of A4 / Letter format?...
In any case, no matter, it's good to have it as a "page size" template.

Based on your tip about the "Enter" key I just did a test.

If I create the gradient and then press the "Enter" key to apply it, I can then close the Color Dialog without adding the colors to the Color History. :)

Double clicking the left mouse button doesn't work though (gradient isn't applied).

Got it up running nicely.
Made the switch from GTK, as recommended; QT version seems indeed faster, and to the point: bigger previews and re-sizable interface.

This update address three things I desperately needed --

1. A dark theme
2. The ability to make tools larger for higher res screens (Hi!)
3. Faster booting and especially quitting.
