Missing dll file when installing program

I have tried to install a copy of epubor ultimate converter and when I go to run it it tells me that msvcr120.dll is missing.

Do I just get hold of the same file from a similar machine and install it ?

Some tutorials I have seen refer to installing it in System32 folder. As my Win10 is 64 bit should I install it in SysWOW64 folder or am I doing the wrong thing altogether ?

    Any help is appreciated

Scroll down a bit in this linked MS article, and download and install the two I have indicated.

I believe so. That dll is part of the Visual Studio array. Give it a try.

    Nope ..... didn't work.

After I'd installed them and installed the program with Admin rights, I got a 0xc000007b error so checked the .Net version and that's up to date.

I'd install or ask someone to install it on their PC and copy over the verified working missing file afterwards.

You did get the install from their home page and not somewhere else?

Best eBook Converter, Convert + Decrypt eBooks for reading anywhere.

After that, it's an email to them, it's their buggy install if it's not working for you.

Ittates over at the site that current has that dll. If still having issues, Iould suggest contacting the publisher of this software.

It worked fine until I was advised by Microsoft last weekend to install a different version of Win10
