It worked fine until I was advised by Microsoft last weekend to install a different version of Win10
Yes third party software has been broken by major OS updates. Remember that a company that publishes Operating Systems can not test the billions of software out theres. Companies have to make sure that their software will run with each OS upgrade and may be delayed due to the many different customer owned platforms out there. You can file a ticket at Epubor Support

Is the dll on the system and is it registered?

    • Type Regsvr32 /u {Filename.dll} [There is one space both before and after /u. Do not type the {} braces. ...
    • Click the OK button. ...
    • Then re-register the file by running Regsvr32 {Filename. .dll} (as described above.

already downloaded and installed those two but when I check both System32 and SysWOW64 folders, the files in there that closely resemble the missing dll is:

    msvcr120_clr0400.dll

Did you really download & install Microsoft Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013 from my links? f14tomcat pointed wrong version 2015 and above.

You must have these two colored (blue) ones installed:

Ok, so I have uninstalled the 2015+ ones and reinstalled the 2013 ones.

I will check later to see if the program installs or gets the same error msg.

    Thanks

Sometimes older software requires a specific version and won't work with a later version, even it it is supposed to provide backwards support. It does no harm to have multiple versions installed, they don't actually run until specifically called by the software. One of my machines has accumulated quite a collection, some from long before it was upgraded to W10. I did try to rationalise it once, but half my software stopped working

Somewhere in all that messing about MS managed to uninstall the C++ version you required? I expect the 2013 version should fix it for you.
