    Hi Crizal and all,

Just wanted to let you all know that the suggestion of Crizal to uncheck the option of having an HPSA icon in the taskbar solved my problem. That is exactly what I wanted -- to be able to use the program but not have it bugging me all the time on my Taskbar.

I appreciate all of your suggestions and replies as well as the time you spent trying to help me. That is what makes this forum special for 'old timers' like myself.

    Thanks and regards,

This is what I get …

And as reported, unchecking the HP Support Assistant Quick Access only removes it temporarily. It will return after a restart.
    Thanks for pointing that out.
