    Windows Terminal (Preview) Background Image

    Hi guys,

    I've just been having a look at the new windows terminal preview from the Microsoft Store. It looks really cool but I can't seem to set a custom image as the background. Microsoft guidances says to add the below into the profiles.json file, however after doing this the terminal cannot load the file and defaults back to the default settings.

    I'm not sure if I'm missing something obvious or if anyone has come across this issue before?

    "backgroundImage" : "ms-appdata:///roaming/yourimage.jpg", "backgroundImageOp - Pastebin.com (link to code)

    Kind Regards

    I haven't tried the terminal app yet, but there is a slightly more detailed explanation of the settings file (such as location of the image file and its placement in the profiles.json file) at the link below; maybe it helps.

    Thanks, that is actually the guide I have been looking at, I look to have followed the documentation but when saving the file after adding them lines it doesn't like it. I have looked through and can't see any syntax errors. I'm not sure if this is an issue with the windows store version? Or if running this on a W10 hyper-v VM could cause any issues.

    To use a background following the guide, make sure acrylic is set to false:
