JPS99, the suggestion I gave you to disable HIPS as a test, does allow Sandboxie to delete contents successfully. Do this as a temporary workaround. It has been confirmed by someone who tried it that it works.

Using the Acronis "Try& Decide" for a few months , in Win10, already………….its much more stable , and very usefull !!
You are entitled to your opinion, but calling Sandboxie unreliable and not stable is wrong. The only time I am not using Sandboxie is when the computer is idle or I am doing an update. In other words, if I am using the computer, I am using Sandboxie. I used SBIE for more than 10 years, if SBIE was unreliable and not stable, I would have stopped using SBIE a long time ago..
By reading your post I can tell you expected out of Sandboxie something else than what it is. Sandboxie is an application sandbox, not a try and decide type of program. The main purpose for using Sandboxie is for running under its supervisions programs you run on a daily basis. You can test programs by installing them in a sandbox but its main purpose is to keep your system intact. Programs (good or bad) that run in the sandbox cant make permanent changes to the real system. Thats what Sandboxie is about.
Sandboxie is a restrictive programs, Sandboxie only allows programs do do so much, if programs you run sandboxed or you install sandboxed want to do more than what Sandboxie allows, they are not going to be installed. You probably tried to install something that install services or drivers. Sandboxie doesn't allow that. If you try installing that type of program, the installation fails. And people like you who dont know SBIE, blames SBIE when that happens, but is your fault, not Sandboxies. You have to know what you can do and what you cant do with SBIE. I seen people who wants to install Windows in SBIE, you cant do that, and when it fails, like you, it blames SBIE, you need a VM for that.

I never go on the internet without being Sandboxed.
Been doing it for years.
I started this article and Sandboxie was not at fault.
It was the way I was using it and the combinations
of program versions that caused my problem.
