Certain spftware doesn't auto-start with Windows

Running Win 10 Pro 64bit version 1903, build 18362.175. The software in question is Steam. In the Steam setting for its Settings/Interface, I have 'Run Steam when my computer starts' selected. About every other start/restart I have to manually start Steam. Looking at the Interface options at that point I find that the check mark for the auto start has been removed.

Does anyone know why/how an option like that could change without me manually changing it? I never had this issue before upgrading to 1903.

    Hi.

Have you tried cleanly uninstalling Steam and then reinstalling?
    Don't forget your Steam credentials.

You can use Autoruns to ensure all options needed to start Steam are checked

Checked Steam but apparently had the wrong search criteria because I missed the link. Checked that out and also ran Autoruns. Working fine now.

    Thanks everyone.
