    CD Ripping Errors

I have two DVD drives and one Blu-ray drive on my computer. The DVD drives can rip just fine to Windows Media Player, however the Blu-ray drive cannot. When clicking the RIP button, each track has errors. I feel like the problem is sporadic. Why does this happen and how can I fix it, if possible?

Not knowing anything about how Windows does this, I'd suggest using reliable third-party utilities to rip CD's such as Exact Audio Copy or CDex. Might return better diagnostics too -- EAC gives you a running display of the errors as it does the extraction.

I use an old program, but it works.
    Audiograbber

I do a lot of audio production work in my recording studio. Audiograbber will rip to wav or MP3. It will also rip Karaoke discs.

JOSHSKORN, it's highly possible that Windows Media Player is ripping discs with this drive at too high a spin speed. I don't use media player to rip, but like fireberd I do use Audiograbber. I also use another peice of free software called 'FairStars CD Ripper'. The Fairstars software is prone to rip errors if I let it work at full speed (ie: 52x) but works fine, with good quality rips if I throttle it back to 16x.
