    Remove Microsoft Mail

Hi. I have a Windows 10 Pro edition pc with two users: Admin and Visitor. I need to disable Microsoft Mail - at least for the Visitor user. I have used this command with Powershell to remove the app from the Admin user:
    Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps | Remove-AppxPackage

It works fine and removes Mail from the Admin user. However, the Mail app is still available for the Visitor user. No matter what I try, the Mail app still shows on the start menu just for the Visitor.

Any idea how I can remove the Mail app from that particular user or all users? Thank you in advance.

Hello Mark, and welcome to Ten Forums.

Are you able to right click on the Mail app in the Start menu, and click on Uninstall to remove it for that account like in Option 1 of the tutorial below? This option should be available in Windows 10 version 1903.

    No uninstall option

Thanks for the message. There is no uninstall option on the start menu for the Visitor user. I believe there was an uninstall option on the Admin user start menu. But the Powershell command I ran took Mail completely off the start menu of Admin but left it on the Visitor start menu.

I will try the options in the link you gave me. Thanks.

Does anyone know how to remove this on enterprise level? Brink's response works fabulously on 1 or 2 users, but wonder if anyone knows if there is a GPO that could be applied on 1903.

    Thank you

Hello, and welcome to Ten Forums.

You might see if using AppLocker to block the Mail app ("microsoft.windowscommunicationsapps") for all users may work for you.
