    ms-resource:AppName/Text entry in Start menu

After updating to W10 1903, I noticed I have an entry for something called ms-resource:AppName/Text (below Xbox in picture). If I click the entry, nothing opens and a DistributedCom Error 10001 is logged in Events log. .

When I click to open Settings for this app, this opens. Searches for Holographic tell me this thing is related to Mixed reality

I never used Mixed reality and I am not interested in using anything like it. After updating to 1903, with pleasure, I clicked to uninstall Mixed reality. So, perhaps this entry is a leftover after I uninstalled Mixed reality. Or, it was leftover in my Start menu by the upgrade to 1903.

No matter what, I like to get rid of it if possible, ....How can I get rid of it? Or, should I ignore it?

    Thanks

    Bo

I think the solution for this, is to forget about it and do nothing. And leave it to Microsoft to fix it. I found the link below earlier today.

I remember in an earlier W10 version, I had something somewhat similar to this thing, that eventually got fixed by an update.

There appears to be common interest with this issue.

    G-SEARCH |
    UNINSTALL mixed reality |

    Hope this proves helpful.

Hi Alan, nice to see you. And thanks for the links.

I think this leftover left in our computers in Start menu after uninstalling Mixed reality is an developers revenge for getting rid of their baby .
