How To Remove File Associations Created in Error?
A PC I am asked to maintain has an invalid file association that I cannot remove.
Specifically, it associates the file type .DWG with Acrobat Reader.
Of course, such files are created by AutoCAD and have nothing to do with Acrobat.
I've found .DWG in CLASSES and it points to yet another key that contains a pointer to Acrobat.
I'm not comfortable with arbitrarily removing registry entries based on a hunch.
I've found no way within Windows 10 tools to kill this association -- and it needs to be killed.
Does anyone know of a way to handle this problem?
