"Side by side configuration" Error

I'm catching this error with almost all of my apps. I can't open word, adobe reader, windows media player and I can't uninstall or install apps/programs.

Attached is the exact error I' m getting. I haven't downloaded anything new. Any idea what is causing this?

I tried doing this but I can't save files or settings. Error says Windows is installed on an unsupported directory.

Any fixes for this? I searched Google and nothing has worked thus far.

Do a repair install... reinstall windows by running the setup.exe on the windows media from within your current OS...
you can select keep files and settings....

or try Dism Restore health

as the error message is most common with VC++ Runtime and the WinSXS files

I ended up just doing a fresh install and moving my data and files from windows.old.

It was on C drive. I don’t know what went wrong lol. Maybe some virus or malware I don’t know lol.

You may need advice from another member, on that one..
