How to enable Groove Music announcing next playing song?

Hi. I am using Groove Music to play my downloaded songs. I know that the online service doesn't work anymore, I didn't even use the online service, eighter. But, I have bunch of songs downloaded to my machine, and organised into few playlists, which I am playing on shuffle, so I can expect always different mix from otherwise ordered playlist. However, what frustrates me, is lack of system announcement about next song currently playing. Let me explain: A song just finished playing and a next one starts to play. But I can only guess what song is playing by listening without opening the Groove Music window in front. Sometimes, I have no idea. Can I somehow enable system announcement about next song played? And can I supress the announcement sound effect somehow for just one app, or do I need to edit sound effect globally and remove the announce sound from settings?

I've searched about your issue but I don't get anything from google, So I think there is nothing like this to implement with the Groove music player. Actually, most of us don't use Groove as much as other players, So that's why other developers are also not working on these types of development.

Okay, thanks then. I might actually make some overlay for the Groove Music player that would detect the process, but I don't know if it's possible to look in the process what is playing currently, detect when a song is changed, etc.

The Groove Music overlay displays with volume change, though, so I might as well just tap the volume up and down just to see new song playing, if I don't know for sure what the song is played. Thanks, marking as solved then, unless someone knows how. I asked Google before, too. And yes, I was disappointed to find no suitable answer as well. Well, guess Groove Music doesn't have that function, and I doubt that Microsoft ever wants to continue to manage Groove Music app anymore. I might add a feature request, but I don't expect they will actually use it.

I am using Groove Music to play music from my local repository (online service doesn't work, so what other choice I have then), and for playing Audio CDs on my computer I am using Windows Media Player 12. Between us, I find it better over VLC Media Player for Audio CD playback, especially when a CD-TEXT is included, because when using the right extension, WMP displays it correctly, VLC tries to adjust the CD-TEXT data hinking of incorrect assumption of wrong YouTube to CD conversion where someone left the generated song titles unchanged, so it incorrectly moved a main song title to performer (discarding the original one) and the second song title or an alternative song title (slash and brackets respectively) replaced the original notation. I think it's a bug withing VLC, but nobody bothers to fix that one.

I don't mind, there are a lot of other, much more important bugs and vulnerabilities to be fixed, according to quite overflowing GitHub bugs report page of VLC. For DVD and other video formats I am using VLC, coming naturally with many supported formats and easily extensible by more sets of codecs. For music playback, I always convert it to MP3 to listen local on computer, and keep CD only for further unspecified special occasions :)
