cannot create 7zip archive on c:\

Apprently it is a famous issue and i cannot solve it. here is a previous instance
    https://sourceforge.net/p/sevenzip/d...ad/5120a09d2a/
I install 7z1900-x64.exe on windows 10 1809 and I right click on 7zFM.exe to run it as administrator. I choose to make 7zip the default program for all zip files and I choose to enable context menus.

Then when I go to C:\ and want to compress a folder, I right click on the folder and it says
''access denied. cannot open file [my file I want to compress]"
Then I UNchecked the "run as admin" of both .exe in 7zip folder and it says it cannot find the file I want to compress...

so what is the detailed solution to this awful issue about permissions?

This is for security - it prevents malware taking over things on root directory.

Just create a folder on root drive and copy there.

Quite right. The root of C: is highly protected, and for good reason. Even File Explorer's built-in 'Send to > Compressed (zipped) folder' is denied access. That, at least, does give you the option to save it to the Desktop instead.

Don't use the context menu if you want to compress a folder on the root of C:.

Instead, open 7-Zip File Manager, browse to C:\, select the folder and then click 'Add'. You will then be able to choose where to put the compressed archive (anywhere other than C:\ will do).

Yes, it happens because c:\ is a protected directory that we are not able to do that operation, I would suggest you compress your file directly from the 7-zip or try moving your file's place to another place which you want to compress.
