    DVD burning

    Hi all.
My laptop doesn’t have a DVD drive, but my older PC does.

Can any one recommend a program ( free is possible ) that will allow me to create a home dvd, using videos taken from my phone, design a menu, and having a silent video in the back ground playing.

Then could I save the movie dvd I just created to maybe an ISO file, transfer it over to my pc and then burn it.

I did think about using asampoo burning studio but left it too late when using the free trial lol.

    I hope I make sense.

    Thanks to any help.

    Jamie.

    Hi there
just a quick addition to this

Nobody needs to burn physical DVD's any more these days. !!!

Once you've created an ISO (in DVD format) your other PC can also play it these days without having to burn it to a DVD -- even as far back as Windows 8 a PC can mount an ISO and play it -- standard software such as VLC / KODI etc will play it.

Even with Windows 7 you can still use something like Alcohol 66% or whatever to mount the iso and play it -- if you still have that older PC simply upgrade to W10 --still works as free upgrade and iso's mount without any need for additional software.

    Cheers

Both of Dalchina's links mention DVDStyler. Back in 2015 when it was clear that my impending free upgrade from Win7 to Win10 would remove all the Media Centre features, including the Windows DVD Creator, I looked around for a replacement. I found DVDStyler and have been using it ever since. I use the Portable version.

The Windows Media Player was also to loose its ability to play DVDs. For that my replacement was VLC. These days I hardly ever burn a physical DVD, rather I use DVDStyler to create an ISO. VLC can play an ISO too.
