PC Not Booting DRAM Flashing on Motherboard

A couple of days ago I performed a scan and clean on my computer with the software I had downloaded. I had used it multiple times with no issues just to make sure all of my drivers were updated and there were no useless files on my computer to keep more free storage.

The other night after performing a scan my mouse quit working. Everything else was fine. I turned my computer off and came to it the next day and logged on and it booted up fine, but the mouse still wasn't working. I restarted the computer and it wouldn't boot into Windows 10. It just stays on the Aorus screen. It won't allow me to hit the F12 button for the boot menu. I hit it, but nothing happens.

I checked my motherboard and the VGA square was lit up red. I reset my graphics card and tried it again. The same thing happened, but then the DRAM square lit up red on the motherboard.

I took both of my RAMs out and reset them. Now the motherboard has the DRAM lit up, but every 10 seconds the CPU square lights up red then it switches back to the DRAM lighting up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Blake

First I would enter your BIOS and reset to defaults.

If it doesn't boot disconnect everything not needed to boot. Keep one stick memory. If you have integrated graphics use them. (Might be a BIOS setting). I would also check PSU connectors. Fully disconnect and reconnect especially if they are the modular ones. Still doesn't boot try other stick. Check if your MB requires you use a specific memory slot for one stick.

Do you have another mouse to test with, in case it has failed and is causing all of this?

Yeah I tried a different mouse and it was the same deal. I tried one stick of ram at a time and still nothing.

    With video card uninstalled.

If you disconnect all drives can you get pass POST.

Since reloading BIOS can you boot from DVD or USB. Boot anything, maybe memtest86.

    MemTest86+ - Test RAM

Might remove CMOS battery to fully reset board.

Do you have a speaker (if there is a header on your board) that you may be able to get post codes

    I don't have speakers.

With both sticks of ram in the screen wouldn't even come up. It said no signal on my screen. I took one out, the same thing. I put that one back in and took the other one out then the boot screen came back on. I had my keyboard hooked up to the usb ports in the back, which always worked, but my keyboard wouldn't come on. So I tried different ports, moved it to the front usb port. Then the red lights on the motherboard went off and it booted into windows 10. But the keyboard still isn't working.

I would run memtest for sure. I would also look at some cheap test gear, keyboard and mouse. I've seen keyboards for $20.00.

Hard to say but sounds like you have Mother board issues.

Did you remove CMOS battery? Please confirm.

I would also make sure MB hasn't slipped on its mounts. You all ready did the reconnects on cables, with video card out.

The "Speaker" I mentioned is just a little 2 1/4 " (ish) speaker. If connects to your Front Panel header and it reports post errors. P18 of your manual

You can likely get one of these at a shop for under $10. Has a little four pin connector to slide on F_Headers. If you have an old PC lying around it will have one.

Sounds like a hardware fault, something on your motherboard has likely failed. I would disconnect anything not needed for the motherboard to POST. Unplug all hard drives and optical drives. If it has onboard graphics remove any add in graphics cards and plug your monitor into the motherboard graphics port. Then unplug any USB connected devices. All you need is a keyboard, I wouldn't even conect a mouse. And I would reset the BIOS / CMOS with the motherboard jumper and or button if it has one. One stick or RAM is enough to get a POST. If you still can't POST swap to the other stick of RAM. If it still won't POST after that your looking at replacing some hardware.
