Recreate data on a jump drive

I had a jump drive with a lot of usernames & passwords on it that I used to store data for credit cards, bank, & 3 or 4 more places that I visit quite often. My granddaughter was using it to buy a couple of items on Amazon. Some how that folder got scrambled & lost all the info. Is there an application that might bring the info back without having to recreate it from hard copies? It was very convenient when wanting to do banking or make Cr. Cd. payments, plus online shopping. I keep hard copies in Word documents for backup, but never had to recreate the data before as I’m a lousy & slow typer.

You could try this to see what it can do.

Not sure what you mean by you keep hard copies in Word documents on your PC. That doesn't sound safe. If you do have copies you could cut and paste rather than typing.

Two things I would recommend, have two keys one as a backup. These keys are a single point of risk unless encrypted. Plenty of tools to do that. If the keys are stolen all your finances come under immediate risk.

I would strongly recommend you look at a Password Manager. These keep your passwords and info encrypted and you only need one password to gain access to your info. Lots are cloud based, not sure I would recommend that and plenty have a free version without cloud access.

Dashlane and Lastpass both have a free version. You do have to backup the database but these are small and can just be added to your regular backup routine.
