    NotePad opens saved files minimized

All of my saved notepad txt files open minimized. How can I have them open
    maximized?

    Thanks.

I've already tried Type notepad in start menu search field> right click it> properties> shortcut tab> for the 'Run' option, select 'Maximized'. Apply> ok.
If I make a notepad shortcut on my desktop the shortcut will open maximized. It is the saved
txt files that will not open full screen.

    Open Notepad then paste:

    cmd.exe /c start /max C:\Windows\system32\Notepad.exe %1

Save somewhere handy. Save As > Type = All Files. Name it notepad.cmd

Right click a notepad file. Choose "Open With" > tick "always use this app" then > "More Apps" "Choose another app on this PC"

    Browse to the file.

    Thank you that worked.
IMHO, I think Notepad in its natural state seems a little buggy when it won't
open saved txt files in full open mode.

It's also easy to change back to default open with notepad.

I've been through all that with no joy (luck). It doesn't remember the last time it was opened full
screen when I open it again. I've googled through tons of other "suggestions" and they all failed.
Latest suggestion ^ seems to work.

I also found this suggestion to also work on previously saved txt files.

"Now, grab the corners of the window and drag it to full screen size. Close the window using File:Close, or File:Exit depending what program you're in. Windows will remember the last screen size used the next time you open the program. –"

In other words, open the saved txt file and just stretch it to desired size and then click on EXIT and when it's reopened it will remember the size you had stretched it too....
