    I have Windows 10 in VMware for testing things like this. After reading this thread, I installed CCleaner on the VM from the main website and guess what - no Avast. I just clicked 'check for updates' and it says I have the latest version.

    I didn't jump through any hoops, disconnect internet, block in firewall etc - just regular install.
