Mini Tool Partition Wizzard & McAfee

I noticed that when doing an update to Mini Tool Partition Wizard, that McAfee Web Advisor will try and install along with it if you don't uncheck it first.

Did an Adobe Flash update yesterday and McAfee Web advisor tried to install with it also.

You have to be very careful with those lately… Even Unchecky can't disable them all. Very aggressive Unwanted programs can vary from yours to AVAST and similar

    Hi folks

who in the world even thinks of letting McAWEFUL anywhere near a home computer -- totally redundant these days and is as slow as molasses or about as fast as a one legged dog on a perfectly smooth ice pond. WD really is all you need these days.

I avoid like the placgue the increasingly common practice of making the download of software more and more convoluted so people are often tricked into downloading other software than the one they are looking for -- it's even worse when downloads are attempted from a "Home site" of the software developer when these things aren't CLEARLY shown.

I remove software like that -- I've removed the minitool partition wizard -- personally I'll just logon to a Linux system and use GPARTED if I need to fix windows partitions. For Windows though there are other partition managers available I'm sure.

If people started boycotting sites that make navigation to the software you want to download CLEAR - and also state clearly any other software etc then this abhorrent practice would disappear.

Also PLEASE sites don't automatically start some audio -- if you are browsing in a public place or an office you don't want loud audio coming out of your computer automatically -- we don't all sit around wearing headphones all day !!!

    Cheers
