It seems to me if I would manage to wipe any and all traces of the prior attempts to install, it would install and work again. I don't know if malware got it or what, but, dealing with the text backups is way too much work.
Does this look right to you? For some reason it doesn't to me and it seems like it came after a peculiar event log thing I ran across that appeared to be a wardrive atttempt and my machine acted funky for a little bit
until I took it off wifi going hardwire .

Then I have a suggestion...cost you nothing but a few minutes of time.
If you want to try and totally obliterate all traces of it and do a re-install to see if it will work, go get the free TRIAL (Pro) version of Revo Uninstaller and uninstall all traces. Revo digs down deep. Trial is good for 30 days and has all features enabled. It's worth a shot if you think a real clean reinstall would work.
Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems
I did the Revo and reinstalled. I scanned afterwards and deleted everything and since I had renamed the folder that the backups are in, they are safe.
Now with this new install, it is positioned in the far right of my left monitor and when I turn the right one off then on, for a moment it is positioned where it looks like I could get to the controls.
So I tried that and couldn't get to it fast enough even with the cursor positioned nearly on top of it.
When the other monitor powered on, the calendar was located where it could be used and then rapidly placed itself far right with the controls far right and off screen.

Turn off second monitor and unplug it then it works, I can place it where I want it.
Plug second monitor back in, turned on or off and it acts frozen and stupid although different stupid than prior.
A handle is an understatement! Calendar entries all the way back to 2009 and thru more than a dozen instances of drawn out events documented.
Now if I can get both monitors to act right together like they used to, that would be almost as huge a relief as your help putzing with this thing and I am pretty sure the Revo thing finally allowed a clean reinstall. Thanks again. Do I need to start another thread perhaps in a different forum section or see about getting this one moved and maybe with a title change?
