Can't Remove Screensavers

I have generated two screensavers using Axialis Screensaver. The program is suppose to generate scr files in theSystem32 folder. In looking in the System32 folder I am unable to locate the screensaver scr files I made. When I open the screensaver app I see the two file names but are no where to be found. Both of these are not installed so their not listed in the uninstall program listing. I don't know wear the files are and have scanned through the registry by name of the screensavers.

I have my doubts that the program would save directly to the System32 folder. Are you sure it doesn't save to an Axialis sub-folder within Documents, for example: C:\Users\<your username>\Documents\My Axialis screensavers\?

Usually these types of utilities save their data within your profile then leave it to you to copy from your profile into the System32 folder (which requires elevated rights).

The registry won't show an entry for your created screensaver until the .SCR file is copied over (using File Manager) and then selected from within the Settings app.

Yes I did look in my document folder for Axialis and deleted the two project files. This was the only referance to the screensavers. So not stored in the Document folder? Also looked in the "C:\Programs (86)\ Axialis" folders. So I have no idea where the program stored them.

Umm.. so you did find the Axialis Screensaver program's data files in a 'Documents' sub-folder? But then deleted them? And now you can't find them? Or have I got this all wrong?

Yes I found the build files to make the screensavers and deleted them. Still list the screensavers in the properties box.

I was thinking the same thing myself. Hope it removes them. Still don't know why it didn't make the standard SRC files. When making the file it does say it making the SRC in the System32 folder!

Just removed the Axialis program but the screensavers I made are still on the computer some where.

Why would uninstalling the Axialis Screensaver program delete data files unless there was a specific option within the uninstaller?

How did you 'remove' it?
