    Conflict with some other extension?
That is what they thought too at first. I told them I have Adguard AdBlocker, but they didn't flag it as a potential conflict with the RoboForm Edge Extension, since I had been using both extensions the entire time together.

My support ticket is still under review by them and I sent them a steps recorder file of the incident occurring in real time.

I will report their findings as soon as they have a resolution.

Although, with my other incidents with RoboForm in the past, they didn't tell me what they did to fix it. Whatever they do though, I have to admit, their support is pretty good.

Some attempt to gain info on application hangs can be made by using procdump from Sysinternals (MS) - command line utility which you use with appropriate params to create a dmp file.

I view the dmp file with Visual Studio.

Yes, that is exactly how the Reliability Monitor reports the incident------an application hang. Problem is though, the extension hang renders the whole RoboForm Program inoperable. I tried using the RoboForm Program without the extension and it doesn't auto sign-in to sites even when I click "Log In" or "Go Fill" tabs in RoboForm - so that is why I got the extension from the Microsoft Store.

Plus support recommended the download of the extension.

I think the extension needs work because it is buggy in the Edge browser.

I recall getting the extension from the Store on this PC, on my other, configured more recently, I can't really recall doing that- it may have been downloaded with Roboform, which was installed newly as current version recently.

Procdump gives different info to Reliability monitor and may list items that cause the hang. That's provided you monitor the right thing.

I'd try completely uninstalling Roboform and extension and go from there.

That was supports first suggestion as well. I'm on my third time of reinstalling both; yet the problem returns.

Is it possible that Windows last Cumulative Update had something to do with this? After all, that is when the problem started and is the only addition to my computer other than re-downloading RoboForm and the Extension for Edge.

You could create a new user for test purposes and see what happens there.

You could do a clean boot and try that.

You could use procdump to try to get further info.

Beyond that- wait for support from Roboform.

Thank you dalchina! I will wait for supports suggestion and maybe in the meantime, try a few things you suggested.

I had this problem prior to build 1809. I would have to go into settings and go to apps and click repair under Microsoft Edge. Actually used Firefox instead of Edge most of the time. After installing Build 1809 the problem has gone away and so has Firefox. I only use Edge now and have no problems with RoboForm.

Wait, are you saying that clicking the "repair" option for the Microsoft Edge App fixed the problem of RoboForm Companion hanging? RoboForm Companion is added when you download the RoboForm Extension for Edge, it has nothing to do with the Edge App directly ----- or does it?

I notified RoboForm support before about this issue with the RoboForm Edge Extension acting funny with the Microsoft Edge Browser and RoboForm. They kind of shrugged it off and offered me the excuse that RoboForm cannot be guaranteed to be compatible with all versions of the Edge App or RoboForm Edge Extension.

I told them that was very convenient of them to forget to mention that little tid-bit to people before they click the "Buy Now" button for RoboForm and they immediately patched the problem on my computer. New versions of Edge have made it to release now and the problem is back again.

They escalated my rfticket (steps recorder) incident of the problem to their testers and said they would get back to me soon. Of course this all happened over the Super Bowl weekend and I don't expect to hear anything from them until their Super Bowl Hangovers are over.

I've had the problem a couple of times prior to 1809; but after the upgrade to 1809, the problem is so persistent that it renders RoboForm unusable.

It is nice when you have to manually input your data when you paid for something else to do it.

    Reply from RoboForm Support

This is the reply I got from support:

    Anyone Using RoboForm?-support.jpg

So, from what I understand, I need to switch Browsers to have a fully functional RoboForm. I didn't know Microsoft suspended the development of Edge and therefore RoboForm suspended the development of the extension.

What I don't understand, is why couldn't he tell me that last week? He made me believe they were working on a solution to the problem. I have about had it with Apps sucking you in for money and blaming the other Apps for their dysfunctional compatibilities.

So in moving on, is the Chromium Browser pretty good with behaving alongside RoboForm?
