    New 8GadgetPack released v28.0


    8GadgetPack version 28.0 available.

    8GadgetPack - Gadgets for Windows 10 / 8.1 / 7



    2019-01-27: Version 28.0 released.
    Updated all outdated gadgets. My Weather should work again. Changed Clipboarder so copied text always creates a new element, even if it is the same as the current one. Fixed installer errormessage bug. Fixed transparency bug in 7 Sidebar.

    Yeah, Thanks TC. Bat kinda miss having gadgets so I'll try it out in VM a while and it might get me to finally clean all the garbage off my desktop where I could see the gadgets

    how safe is this to use i know back in the day MS discontinued something similar to this as a security risk so curious how safe is this ?

    Yes, that was years ago. MS had their own "gadgets", most of which were farmed out and very easy to hack to death. Way before the current security levels in the OS today. This package is updated regularly and maintained now by the 8Gadget Pack group. 8GadgetPack is the framework running the MS sidebar.exe, maintained by MS. The individual gadgets are vetted by the group for usability and security. Bottom line, it's not even close to what it was years ago. It's safe.
