    Its not legal anywhere unless you have a genuine licence.

    However, there is a virtual file from Microsoft which you could try from here
    Download Windows XP Mode from Official Microsoft Download Center

    Using the download above you can extract the vhd and mount it with your Virtualization software with instructions here - Get official Windows XP virtual machine for Hyper-V - Super User

    I just tried it and mounted the vhd with HyperV and had XP up and running in minutes.

VMWare Workstation 10.4 is on the street. Up and running, and at the moment haven't had any problems running any OS.
Hi there Problem with installing VMWARE tools with Windows 10 x-64 using Windows host. Works fine on LINUX host !!!! (VMware workstation rel 10.0.3 build-1895310) Cheers jimbo
