    S.M.A.R.T. infromation on Surface Pro 2017 model...


    Hi guys

    i am trying to find out how to see S.M.A.R.T. information from SSD drive in my Microsoft Surface Pro 2017 model. I was trying to use NirSoft's "DiskSmartView" tool but it show only zeros in all field. Anybody know how look into that matter? Thank you.

    I use HD Tune, or Hwinfo64, If your SSD is running in RAID mode either program may not be able to see through the RAID Driver.

    Because it is a SSD, you do not have to worry about SMART, like you would with a platter drive. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/...nostic-toolkit You also do not want to run Defrag with a SSD. It self defrags in how it handles the 1's and 0's.
