    Microsoft Store App update issue

    My system is a Windows 10 Pro system updated to 1809. My Hulu App got updated and when I looked at the start menu, I had the new Hulu App and the old Hulu App icon (does not do anything but clutters up my start menu). The old Hulu App cannot be removed using the "uninstall" for the app. If Microsoft is going to integrate apps into the OS like this, I wish Microsoft would also provide a tool that would nuke it when there is an issue like this. How can I remove the old (and useless) Hulu App icon from my start menu?

    Thanks.

    Apparently there is a 'desktop' (download and conventionally install) Hulu program and an app. Are you certain what you are dealing with only came via the Store, and that both relate to UWP apps?

    Put another way, if you go to control panel, programs and features, is there any entry for Hulu?

    If you look here:
    C:\Users\... userid ...\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
    or
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs
    do you see any shortcuts for Hulu or Hulu-related folders?

    An outside possibility might be to try to determine where an app is installed:
    How can I find the installation directory for my UWP application? The Old New Thing

    This gives a clue to accessing the folder:
    Where are Windows Store Apps installed how to access WindowsApps folder

    You could then try Powershell commands to uninstall Hulu:

    e.g. Option 2

    -> something like
    Get-AppxPackage *Hulu* | Remove-AppxPackage
