    Compatible DVD burning software?

Is there a DVD burning software that's compatible with Windows 10? Preferable a free one. I don't burn many, but I need one from time to time.

    Hi there

Do you need to CREATE a DVD or do you simply want to burn from MKV / MP4/ AVI files etc.

For simply burning an ISO that already exists on your HDD then the built in Burn to disk application on W10 works.

For creating a DVD from video files DeVeDE works. Use this for ripped / downloaded movies / torrents etc.

It's not really supported for windows any more but it works fine even on W10. I tend not to need DVD's any more as I stream stuff or RIP DVD's to MKV or whatever - HANDBRAKE (Free) does that just fine - but for commercial DVD's you will need to decrypt and de-regionalise first -- AnyDVD works for that but also not free.

For creating DVD's FROM SCRATCH you need some DVD authoring software -- unfortunately anything even semi passable is not free - just GOOGLE DVD authoring.

    Cheers

Thanks Jimbo. A friend of mine wants a DVD with drum lessons from You Tube so his son can learn to play the drums. I guess MP4 format would be what I need to download . I stopped burning DVD's a long time ago myself, but I want to do this for him.
