How can I make the icons in some programs larger?

My screen has a 3240 x 2160 resolution and I have it set to 225% scaling (I think that's the right term!)

I have noticed that some icons in apps are really small and it's hard to click on them accurately. I have attached an image of WIndows Media Player and adiIRC as an example.

Is there any setting I can use to fix this?

You could try the Settings - Ease Of Access - Make Everything Bigger slider, if you have already maxxed out the scaling factor.

Right click the .exe file for the program and experiment with the override dpi options

Thanks very much guys for your suggestions.

I'm not seeing anywhere that I can override the dpi options...am I missing something? I have checked all the tabs.

At that high of resolution, you are not going to get icons much larger. I would suggest lowering the resolution to where it is a lot more comfortable for you. The higher resolutions are meant for large displays and projectors, not a standard desktop or laptop display.

The dpi options are compatibility mode options for third party programs. It seems you can't fiddle with the dpi settings of programs which are part of Windows 10

Thanks, Steve. I will just work with what I have.
