Revo Uninstaller Question

Thanks to the Revo Uninstaller Pro 4 thread on here I just bought it.

I thought that I would test it out and remove HexChat as I had planned to remove it anyway.

My question is regarding the registry entries it found. I'm wondering if removing them will break anything - surely not I'm thinking, but I see the mention of Runtime dependents so I guess my question lies in whether Revo uninstalls anything to do with Runtime or just something to do with HexChat that relies on Runtime?

Also, why wouldn't the HexChat uninstaller remove these as it has seemed to remove everything else?

I will leave them deselected in this case. Just for future reference, I could select these entries and delete them safely enough though?

Revo is pretty good at only selecting entries that pertain to the program you want to uninstall. If there are any associations with shared programs then Revo will tell you. I've been using that program for years and never had any problems what -so - ever.

It can indeed break stuff, which is why I won't use Revo and it required re-installation of Windows to get something installed and working again.
Registry meddling just for a few entries left in the Registry is pointless and can be damaging.

If you are using an imaging back up program like Macrium Reflect then what's the problem. If you are that paranoid about removing reg entries then don't do it. Also Revo takes a backup of reg entries and can be reinstalled. If you haven't backed up before removing any reg entries or programs, then you only have yourself to blame.

Good call, Macrium is something I need to install. I have a new external SSD on the way for back ups.
