    Skype will not open


    Skype 8.34 will not open on my friend's new HP EliteBook 840 G5 Windows 10 v. 1803

    have downloaded it, uninstalled, removed from registry, downloaded again, installed, but will NOT open or run

    After many trials & tribulations, got Skype working in friend's HP by free download from MS Store. However it is not possible to quit by right clicking on taskbar icon, only way to disable (in her computer, mine HAS "quit" option) is cnrtl+alt+delete, task manager, OR sign out.

    Installed it from Store 2x, no change.

    Ideas?

Every time I go to open a pic from Skype IM it asks me what app to open the file with. The problem there is no check box in the list of apps to say always use this app, so it asks every single time. Gets annoying after the first time. :)
