    Lost Registration

I have an app that previously worked fine, but has started to repeatedly ask for the registration details. I have entered the details several time and the app reports that it has been successful, but the next time I start it, it does the same again. This has only began happening in the last 7-10 days. Any idea's anyone, please?

Hi, is this a UWP app (from the Store) or a traditional downloaded and installed program for which you had a license?

It might help too if you could say which program it is. Thanks.

It was an old game, Sudoku by a developer called Pappacom. Purchased in 2015.

No. It was originally downloaded as a free trial from CNET, then upgraded to a paid version.

If the developer is out of business, it's possible it's trying to verify its license with a site that no longer responds.

You might be able to check internet transactions to see if that's so if you wished. Or you might be able to find a free replacement.

The funny thing is that it initially reports that the entered details are correct and that it has been successfully registered. It's only after a while that it requests the details to be re-entered. i wondered if there was something i could adjust in the Registry to rectify the situation

I'm fond of Sudoko too. I play on the web at https://www.websudoku.com/ but they also offer a download to run offline, free trial and $14.95 to purchase. The free web site is sufficient for my purposes.

Well, you could experiment with blocking the program's access to the internet... it depends whether that's the cause, and if so, how clever the programmer was in trying to circumvent tricks like that.

But it may simply be easier to find an alternative.
