WMP Find album info not working

I don't remember the last time i used Windows Media Player, but it was working well the last time. Today i tried to use the the "Find album info" so i could rip some cd's to mp3 with info like track names, but the screen just stays white, no error. The url that it have is musicmatch-ssl.xboxlive.com

I checked the host file just in case, but there is nothing related that is being blocked.

Check the firewall settings, if find nothing that is blocking WMP, try to reset it.

    Resetting WMP:
    open command prompt and type:
    msdt.exe -id WindowsMediaPlayerConfigurationDiagnostic
Think about replacing it, too... MS is not developing this app anymore.

Tried resetting settings, but it did not help and firewall is not blocking. The problem seems is musicmatch-ssl.xboxlive.com

Started to rip with Nero now until the problem is fixed. I liked WMP better because i fell the rip time is less than with Nero.

There are better programs out there. WMP is outdated and like a lot of Microsoft products, they do not keep up with the Joneses too well.

Try Musicbee. (foobar200 is great too). It's free and great program.
