Dsyncronise looks good
it mentions syncing to the cloud....this would save the need for a usb pen......wonder how this would be setup ? Would the cloud storage need to have a drive letter ?
thanks

Then you need versioning if keeping newest plus older copies. If you just want the most recent files then the software linked in Post 8 should work. Just backup the folder(s) for the first few runs to be sure.
If you still want a batch file - well can anyone help with that please?
http://dimiodati.altervista.org/zip/dsynchronize.html looks the best option
just thought would save transporting a usb pen around if I could use a cloud on both PC’s not sure if http://dimiodati.altervista.org/zip/dsynchronize.html will work that way
i have a batch file that should work fine....

Hi
thanks for all the ideas, when searched for, there is a plethora of file / folder sync programs....mostly free...I settled in thismone
https://www.ascomp.de/en/products/sh...le/tab/details
works very well updates the file when logging off shutting down etc....
the only sync condition I couldn’t get to work was the USB detect....mode the screen cleared when inserted but said NA....
but it that’s not a big issue as there is another sync criteria if file exists so I selected the usb pen and the file name
